This is NOT a bibliography. It is not a list of the Author’s favorite reads (he has not read many of them). Nor does it cover the full range of topics discussed in this book. In fact, works by some of the most celebrated authors of the Muslim world are conspicuous by their absence from this list.

This IS a list of high quality, in print books, which are easily available at this time from www.amazon.com. Most of the references are to the more affordable paperback editions. All listed titles are serious, scholarly works and should not be confused with the numerous ‘bestsellers’ devoted to self-serving propaganda.

Each one of these titles will open a window into the reality of Islamic civilization. They are generally free of ‘scholarlese’ and extensive background knowledge of Islam is not required. Let the reading begin!
